What is the attire?

We kindly ask our guests to join us in dressing to the nines for our big day! Formal attire means suits and ties, long dresses, or chic cocktail wear. Furthermore, we kindly request that guests refrain from wearing white or cream attire, as these colors are traditionally reserved for the bride. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and thoughtfulness. Think classic, elegant, and celebration-ready. We can’t wait to see you all looking your best!

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 15–30 minutes before the ceremony start time, 3pm, to ensure everyone is seated and ready.

What are the parking options for the ceremony and reception?

When arriving for the ceremony at Mayflower Congregational Church, guests are welcome to use the church’s main parking lot. There is ample space available, and parking is complimentary.

For the reception at the Amway Grand Plaza, a parking garage is conveniently located just across the street. Guests staying at the Amway Grand will have their parking validated upon checkout.

For those staying at other hotels within our room block, nearby parking garages and surface lots are available for your convenience. Please refer to your hotel’s front desk for the best recommendations upon arrival.

Are children invited to the wedding?

While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that our wedding be a celebration reserved for adults only. We hope this gives everyone the opportunity to relax, let loose, and fully enjoy the evening with us. Thank you so much for your understanding. The only children that will be in attendance are those directly related to the bride and groom.

Can we use our phone during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that all our guests refrain from using phones, cameras, or other devices during the ceremony. We’ve invited professional photographers to capture this special moment, and we look forward to sharing those beautiful images with you afterward. Thank you for being present with us in the moment.

What can we do in between the end of the ceremony and beginning of cocktail hour?

We encourage our guests to take advantage of the hour between the ceremony and cocktail hour to explore the city of Grand Rapids, check into their hotel, or unwind with a drink at one of the Amway Grand’s popular spots, such as the Lumber Baron Bar, Rendezvous, or MDRD. When is the latest we can RSVP by?

We kindly request that all guests RSVP by August 9th, 2025 so we can finalize the details for our celebration. Your response will help us ensure a wonderful experience for everyone. We look forward to celebrating with you!
